Sarah Wolozin

Sarah Wolozin develops and oversees lab projects and operations including _docubase, the Visiting Fellows program, and collaborations with institutions such as Sundance Institute, Tribeca Institute, IDFA Doclab, and the National Film Board of Canada. Before coming to MIT, she produced documentaries and educational media for a wide variety of media outlets including PBS, Learning Channel, NPR, websites and museums. Topics ranged from African-American arts to U.S. Healthcare. She started experimenting with the Web back in the early stages of its public use and in 1996 produced an award-winning 8-part interactive web series based on a comic book character. Whatever the platform, her main interest is in enabling diversity of voice and provoking thoughtful discussion and action through a good story. She has served on committees for Sundance New Frontier Lab, Tribeca New Media Fund, and the IFP Media Center and has presented at Sundance, SXSW, Storycode and other venues. Sarah holds a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University.
